Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) bought Beats Audio last year for a total of $3 billion. It was after this deal that Beats Audio severed their contract with Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ).

When Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) was getting the deal implemented, HP was selling its Beats Audio integrated laptops in the market. It was due to Beats Audio that the sound aesthetics of those laptops were so better. It is important to mention here that the partnership of Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) and Beats Audio happened when the latter went viral back in the year 2011.

Laptops with a Beats logo on them gained much popularity among teens and music lovers. Once Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) acquired the sound company, HP could only use the logos and equipments till December 31st, 2014. Moreover, HP could sell beats logo laptops till the end of 2015, which meant that the company had to install either custom speakers or enter into a deal with a new music partner.

Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) stopped using the logo of Beats Audio and shifted the integration of sound system to in-house. The in-house speakers of HP were quite latest and everybody knew that the company would do well even without any partnership.

Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ), nonetheless, signed a deal with one of the biggest sound companies, Bang & Olufsen. The tech company will use Bang’s custom made speakers in all of its products, including the speakers and laptops. The company will also be using Bang’s logo once it starts the delivery of new laptops in the spring of 2015.

Vice President of PC and Printing at Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ), Mike Nash, told the media that HP and Beats Audio had learned a lot from their partnership, and it was time to use that expertise with a new company.

According to market analysts, this deal with Bang & Olufsen will enable Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) to maintain its reputation as one of the best laptop providers in the market. The company is planning on incorporating Bang’s music system to its latest tablets and computers. Since Apple will be using Beats Audio system now, chances are that HP will face severe competition in music related gadgets.

Bang & Olufsen was founded back in the year 1925. Since then, the company has been known for the top notch audio quality of its products. Bang uses its speaker technology in cars, speakers, televisions and headphones. Bang entered into a partnership with ASUS back in 2010 whereby the sound company provided an audio system to ASUS.

News has it that HP will incorporate Bang’s technology in its Envy, Omen and Spectre laptops. Another brand of Bang & Olufsen, ‘B&O Play,’ will be used in HP’s tablets, headphones and Pavilion PCs.

The stocks of Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) saw a decline of 3.33 percent on the last trading day. The company started its stocks at $33.42 and closed at $32.20, after hitting the highest price of $33.50. HP has a market cap of $60.54 billion with a P/E (price to earnings) ratio of 12.32.

A report was published by the Financial Times which delineated various debts issued by significant energy companies in this year. It ought to be noted here that the amount of issued debts is quite large. The prices of crude oil have been going downhill across the globe, and owing to this reason as a consequence the profit margins have also decreased. In such a situation, maintenance of cash is a serious issue for oil companies. To cope up with this challenge, issuance of debt appears to be the best option.

This same report of Financial Times incorporates a quote of Morgan Stanley. Stanley asserts that the statistics of debt issued in the first quarter of fiscal year 2015 by important oil companies, of both United States and Europe, has escalated a great deal. To be precise, the increase in this issued debt amounts to approximately 60%. This increase is in comparison to the debt that was issued in the last quarter of the year 2014. Rather, the figures of this year also break the record that had been set six years ago about issued debt.

In these circumstances, smaller companies are the ones which have to face a bigger challenge. The survival of such companies is in jeopardy; while larger companies on the other hand can survive anyhow. Their size, market shares and dominance makes this possible. Borrowing prices continue to move up the scale for smaller companies in the market. As a consequence, many such companies have resorted to the last option i.e. they have put themselves up for sale.

Other bigger companies such as Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) and Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) have started issuing greater amounts of debt in this context to purchase these smaller companies that have put themselves up to sale. Bonds amounting to approximately $31 billion were issued in merely two months i.e. January and February of fiscal year 2015 by Exxon, Chevron, BP plc (ADR) (NYSE:BP), and Total SA (ADR) (NYSE:TOT). The total amount of debt issued by all oil and gas companies across the world was $63 billion which means that this $31 billion is almost half of the total debt.

There are also speculations and a very likely possibility that these oil companies would now be heading for acquisitions. Martjin Rats, a US bank analyst, said in this context, that the present conditions have rendered smaller companies very vulnerable and ideal targets for acquisition.

Furthermore, maintenance of dividends is another significant factor in order to ensure survival in a situation where the crude oil prices are tumbling down. Thus the cheaper solution to get through this mess is to fund greater projects and make sure that debt issuance takes care of dividends.

In accordance with this strategy, nearly all oil companies are striving for the maintenance of appropriate dividends. However, in contrast to this popular strategy, Eni Spa (ADR) (NYSE:E) has chosen to go for a completely different mode of action. It stands as an exception in the market, since it has decided to cut down its dividends instead of maintaining them.

The initiation of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6plus will later become an innovative moment for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL). Production of these big iPhones has resulted in massive profitable quarterly survey. After six months company was full of gossips about the next upcoming iPhone. Two of the rumors predicted by investors in regard of the product are discussed below.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) keeps on looking forward to advertise its novel leading features and technologies as it releases its latest products (Apple Pay, Touch ID etc.). Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will keep on with this strategy in order to stay high from its rivals like Samsung Electronics (KRX:005936). According to a survey report by The Wall Street Journal, Force Touch, features of Apple Watch will be taken for iPhone 6s’ feature.

Force Touch has been created to highlight user’s input ability. Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) devices are able to recognize touch or tap input by user. Connection with screens of iPhone 6 and 6s to give an input enables the system supplying more ways of user interaction with future smart-watches. This was the prime aim of Force Touch. Its sensitivity could increase the growth of user experience of iPhone 6s in case of gaming but it might face less development in technology. It is expected that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is making the interoperations between its applications and Apple Watch using Force Touch which is going to be popular in upcoming devices.

The other rumor reported is that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is working on launching device with increased range of color options. This color introduction will be more descent, despite the fact that colors like space gray got so many likes in US market. iPhone 5s initiated gold color, which got fame in China according to some reports. Markets of China are fundamental cause in improvement in Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) finance for many years. Gold color was purchased more by users in China as well as in Hong Kong. This gold color was the basic reason for iPhone 5’s sales when it was released as cited. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) when initiates a new color to its device, it is definitely for some logical reason, but the reason for the thought of releasing a pink iPhone is not yet clear. But believing in Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) schemes, this would also have some obvious reason behind it. This rumor of iPhone 6s in pink might actually be wrong for iPhone 6c which is under development.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is going to make use of LTE chips supplied by Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) in its upcoming devices to cope with increased market demands from Asia and Latin America. As iPhone 5 and 5s were proved to be more visionary regarding finance, it is possible that this rumor of pink iPhone might actually be a working model for iPhone 6c. We still have six months to watch if the rumors related to iPhone 6s and 6c are true and to what extent.

Lately, Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has been making some tricky moves in the market and has been involved in a number of deals. This is why the company has picked a number of financial specialists all over from the capital market. For a publicly trading motor vehicle company, Ford (NYSE:F) Motors has been making some pretty big deals in the market.

It appears that the company wants to become the Global Market Leader in the automobile industry by increasing its year over year global sales. This is something that the investors have been observing for a long time and want to make a good investment out of this opportunity. According to the analysts, it’s a great achievement for the company as it entered the market late as compared to its competitors yet it is still ahead in the competition.

The analysts think that it’s a perfect opportunity for the company to enter the Chinese market amid the tough competition. Moreover, the company is already excelling all over in China with maximum popularity therefore; further investments in China will only mean absolute domination. By numbers, the company’s financial graphical chart representation shows that the company’s financial performance is only increasing.

Despite the tough competition in January, the company still managed to break the monthly sales record with a remarkable performance by selling 112,000 units increasing by 19%. It appears that the Chinese consumers are in love with company’s models like Mondeo Fusion, Escort and Focus. Focus ended as the most selling model during 2014’s fiscal year.

Exporting the vehicles to China is a pretty expensive business which increases the overall product costs; however, despite the immense demand from China alone, the company does exports tons of vehicles and enjoys a healthy return. Mustang, Explorer, and Edge are also accounted for about 3000 sales per unit.

Amid February, the company’s total Chinese two-month deals aggregate to about 192,000. That is a sound 15% expansion on a year over a year basis, and it depicts that Ford’s (NYSE:F) development in China is situated to proceed in the twofold digits for 2015.

The company’s business development during 2014 appeared to stall in China, and that was generally on the grounds that the automaker’s generation capability was basically at its extreme. In November, the company is due to open its third gathering plant in Chongqing, which would be build its generation limit by 360,000 units yearly. That will empower Ford (NYSE:F) to keep expanding its deals in 2015 preceding an alternate plant comes online in Hangzhou at some point in 2016 – which will include an alternate quarter-million underway limit.

The company appears to be selling more autos in China, and have reduced the reliance it has on North American market for about every last bit of its benefits. Presently, the company’s Asia-Pacific area, which is to a great extent driven by China’s outcomes, is the automaker’s second-most-gainful overseas region and represents approximately 22% of Ford (NYSE:F)’s wholesale units sold in 2014.

Under the Telecommunication Act, Title II, internet will now be regulated by the Federal Communications Commission. Where previously, the service providers of wireless internet were exempted from regulation under the open internet rules, they will now come under the new regulations as well.

Although the advocates of net neutrality as well as the consumers were really happy with these new regulations, however, the internet service providers which were affected adversely did not take the news very well and rather mocked the new regulations by FCC.

Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ), which is the biggest name in wireless carriers wasn’t happy with these new regulations either. As a result, Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) answered with mockery by claiming that with these new regulations, the FCC has taken the internet industry back in time to 1934 when the Telecommunications Act was first passed. Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) further claimed that not only are there regulation misguided, but are also wholly unnecessary.

The senior Vice President, Public Policy and Government Affairs, of Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ), Michael E. Glover also stated that with these regulations, the FCC has targeted open internet and they bound to have adverse effects in the future on the operation of internet.

Furthermore, the company stated that these regulations mean that there will be a decrease in investment and less innovation which will not only harm investors but consumers as well. Previous policies had encouraged investment, which resulted in innovative services which allowed the consumers to enjoy their internet experience.

Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) is of the view that internet has been a success industry, and if there is to be a policy change, it should be brought so by the legislature, a body which is rightfully charged with this duty by constitution. And this too should be done after very careful analysis.

Another big name in the industry, AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) is also not happy with the new regulations, and has also threatened to sue FCC. Jim Cicconi, who is the senior VP of AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) in the External Affairs and legislative Affairs, has stated that instead of moving forward, these regulations has set the whole industry back, and will also entail unnecessary litigation costs.

On the flip side, many wireless providers, including T-Mobile US Inc. (NYSE:TMUS), Sprint Corp (NYSE:S) as well as Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) has commended the FCC on these new regulations. Sprint Corp (NYSE:S), which is the 3rd largest wireless carrier has stated that these new regulations by FCC reflect its thoughtful as well as measured approach. The company is of the view that balanced net neutrality rules backed by light regulations are going to benefit the consumers a lot. These regulations will also encourage competition, innovation as well investment in this segment.

Although, the FCC has approved these new regulations, it is still expecting Verizon Communication Inc. (NYSE:VZ) and AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) to sue the body in near future. Previously, FCC has lost twice in lawsuits by wireless companies, and it is still contentious whether it will prevail this time.

The company further said that it is not the only one who has announced this measure. A number of oil companies are taking such measures dur to the falling prices of crude oil. The management said that since the situation is likely to remain the same, Civeo Corp (NYSE:CVEO) had to take this step in order to keep its expenditures as low as possible.

Civeo plans to invest this money in the expansion and development plans on its oil sand in the country of Canada. The company provides accommodation to its workers in the mining and drilling sites that are located in Australia and Canada. Civeo said that it could use the money there.

The company mentioned that it needs to maintain flexibility in its cash and financial situation, and that was only possible if it suspended the quarterly dividends. The company will be using the cash flow to to pay off some of its debts in the year 2015.

Moreover, the headcount of the company was reduced by 30 percent in the country of Canada and by 45 percent in the United States. He further said that this step was taken after initial measures failed to cover the gap. The initial measures included discretional capital expenditures, controlled costs, and reduction in marketing capacity.
