Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX)’s new Horn Lake Store

Horn Lake too gets its new Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) outlet.

Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX), one of the biggest coffee chains in the world opened up another one of its outlets, in DeSoto on Friday. The new store is located at 987 Goodman Road West; due to this address the café becomes the center of the hotel, retail and restaurant area of the city. It is also just west of the I-55 exit on the Goodman Road.

The inauguration held on Friday included the ribbon cutting ceremony. Amongst the attendees were the franchise officials, city government and business leaders; as well as the first lady of Mississippi, Deborah Bryant.

Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX), which is a Seattle based international franchise has three independent franchises in DeSoto County. These locations are on Goodman Road East in Southaven; Goodman Road in Olive Branch; and this latest one is in Horn Lake. There is another Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) inside the Olive Branch Target store.

Bryan Allan, Starbucks’ (NASDAQ:SBUX) district manager; claimed that the Horn Lake store is by no means the last store in Mississippi. He said that the franchise is planning to add more locations including DeSoto County to its portfolio.

The manager of the Horn Lake location – Jennifer Ramirez, said that customers can have the star bucks experience by stepping into the café. She also said that it is a place where people can come in to enjoy time with friends, relax and spend time away from work.

The distinct factor of Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) located at Horn Lake is that, it is one of its kind in Mississippi and Memphis metropolitan area; it is serving the new Clover-brewed coffee.

Ramirez said that it’s the vacuum brewed coffee at Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) that ensures that customers get all the oils and extracts from the cup; whereas brewed coffee is just paper filtered.

Another feather in the hat of Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) at Horn Lake is that, it will bring Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) Reserve coffee to its location; it is a blend brought from various places such as Panama, Tanzania, Brazil, Hawaii and other places for the Clover brew machine.

Ramirez, originally from California now residing in DeSoto County, also said that she has a staff of 15 people currently, but is looking to have more staff members as the Christmas season comes.

Ramirez said that she likes living in this area and is looking forward to staying there for a long time. Ramirez has been working for Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) for 15 years. She went on to say that she is looking forward to living in this area even after her retirement.

The Horn Lake City Officials have welcomed the new business whole heartedly and fully supported it.

Mayor Allen Latimer showed his delight and said that Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) is a nationally known chain that is famous for choosing good areas for its locations. He also stated that the fact that Horn Lake was chosen by Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX), is the testimony that Horn Lake is a blooming site and people want to open their businesses in the area.
