After many botched attempts, bugs and rumors Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s healthkit has finally made its return into the market. Healthkit was one of the most talked about features of iPhone 6 and 6 plus. The hype it gained was for multiple reasons. The main reason was the concern regarding how will Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) be able to secure user information from hackers; the other reason was how will health care providers and organizations respond to Apple’s request to share confidential medical data of their patients.

The first problem was solved when Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) introduced code encryption to secure each and every password on the device. The second problem was solved when Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) gave its medical and healthcare partners control to keep and review the data.

Healthkit is a new Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) feature that will be preinstalled in the latest iPhone. The feature will collect data from other health apps and give the user a complete health review. The user will also be able to share this data with hospitals and other medical organizations.

Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) assured the fool proof security of this app, stating that Healthkit will have absolutely nothing to do with storing data on the device. Also, with the enabling of the encryption code, no one will be able to tamper with the data including law authorities and manufacturers.

Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) said that for years many companies have come up with apps that gave you data on your heart rate, diabetes, and blood pressure. Healthkit will be an all-in-one platform that will give the user a complete chart of everything – from heart rate to B.P and other various medical details.

With Healthkit Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) has ventured into a market that is very risky; it could prove to be either lucrative or a mishit. Any sort of data violation or user record leakage could result into serious issues (both legal and professional) for Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL).

Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s recent record has already raised many questions regarding the company’s ability to provide flawless apps and security. It had a few major issues with its latest iOS 8, which forced the company to take Healthkit off from their store to fix minor bugs. Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) released iOS 8.0.1 but that caused network issues in the phone. Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) made some tweaks and immediately released 8.0.2 which fixed everything but wiped previous Healthkit data, which users had collected.

There are many who have raised their voice against Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s ability to protect the volatile health data. Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) has strongly responded to such critics; Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) has a reputation to uphold; therefore it must have done everything possible to ensure security. Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) has a lot of expectations from its HealthKit. This app is propelling the tech giant into a new territory, which makes it all the more important for Apple to get its act together and deliver the best.

Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s HealthKit has finally hit the market and within a few weeks the company will start getting responses from the users. Apple and its partners and investors will be keeping a close eye on the app’s progress.
