Recently, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) announced that new version of iPhone 5C is going to unveil with 8GB data capacity at very cheaper rates that will be shipped in some European countries, Australia and China along with an iPad 4 tablet at the same price which is fixed for the iPad 2.

In 2011, the iPad 2 hit the market shelves while with a 9.7-inch Retina display and supports 4G carriers internationally; the iPad 4 was unveiled in 2012. The iPad 4 comes with a price tag of $399 with 16GB Wi-Fi model while the 16GB version with Wi-Fi option and cellular model is priced $529.

The data of research firm Gartner showed that in comparison to Google’s Android based tablets which had 62 percent share in the market, Apple’s iOS based tablets have 36 percent share last year. After unveiling of the iPad Air which was unveiled in 2013, tech giant stopped manufacturing of the iPad 4. In 2012, the company also reduced the price of iPad 2 to $399.

On Tuesday, the company mentioned on its UK website that with a price tag of 429 pounds, an 8GB iPhone 5C has hit the market shelves which are 40 pounds cheaper than the 16GB version. In Germany and France, the 8GB iPhone 5C will also shipped soon. According to Cross Research analyst Shannon Cross, a lower gross margin is observed for this new gadget because they predicted the variation in cost for the 8GB of NAND is $5 to $10.

Previous versions of the iPhone 5C remained failing in capturing the attention of customers because of competitors that are selling lower-cost phones based on Android software, however, in comparison to the iPhone 5S, 5C is about $100 cheaper. Yesterday, on the Nasdaq, company’s share rose about 0.5 percent at $529.60 in dealing.
