Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) Likely To Launch an iPhone 6S Mini In 2015

13

News has it that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), after seeing a tremendous response for its iPhone 6, is planning on introducing a mini version of the model. Yes, the company is planning to launch a smaller screen iPhone 6S Mini next year.

According to a research report released by an analyst at, Cowen and Company, Timothy Arcuri, the company will be releasing this model together with two other smartphones, an iPhone 6 Plus, which will have a display size of 5.5 inch, and an iPhone 6S Mini, which will have a display size of 4.7 inch.

According to the report, the design of iPhone 6S Mini will be based on the lates models of iPhones: rectangular in shape with curvy edges and slim body, but the specifications will be that of iPhone 5S.

The fans of iPhone gave iPhone 5S a tremendous welcome, and the phones were sold as soon as they reached the market. Since the Mini iPhone 6S will be based upon the same specifications, market experts are of the view that this phone will also receive much popularity among the fans.

The report released by Timothy also revealed that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) might be introducing smaller size iPhones for the female owners of iPhones. Since females have smaller sized palms, a smaller iPhone would be easier to operate with just one hand. Moreover, according to the reports of Feng.com, a Chinese news company, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will be launching several models in the year 2015, including a 4 inch iPhone in the latter part of the year 2015. According to the news agency, that 4 inch phone will be specifically designed for female users.

Let’s see how many new phones Apple will release in 2015. As of yet, chances are that the company will add 2-3 new phones into its portfolio. Some market experts are of the view that Apple is following the strategies of its competitor, Samsung, for Samsung was the first company that came up with the idea of offering different smartphones with different price ranges so as to provide the customers with a wide variety of choices.

The stocks of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) fell down when the company was about to launch its iPhone 6. Despite the fact that iPhone 5S saw positive response, the investors of Apple were worried about the company’s future prospects, and were scared by the fact that Samsung had eaten up a lot of market share of smart phone industry in the year 2013.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) launched its first phablet in the year 2014 in the form of iPhone 6 Plus. The phablet was accompanied by an iPhone 6 smartphone.  The company, after the successful release of these models, saw a record breaking earnings and revenues figure, which was far greater than what Wall Street had expected.

Now, if Apple introduces its iPhone 6S Mini into the market, there will be much pressure on Samsung, for the company’s Galaxy S series are losing their appeal to the customers very quickly.
