Doctors and iPhones have always gone well together. The launch of the iPhone 6 – which is completely encumbered with the latest and health and fitness apps – is another hit amongst the medical community. The latest Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone is available for pre-ordering since Friday night.

Doximity, a renowned and professional networking tool amongst physicians, clearly indicates that doctors are extremely fond of their iPhones. According to Dr. Nate Gross at Doximity, the latest iPhone with its medical sensors and fitness features is just another bonus to entice the doctors to buy the phone.

Doximity targets doctors of ages from 45 and above, which makes them comparatively young along with this it provides a networking platform to more than 300,000 doctors all across the United States. IPhone according to the Doximity is acting as a counterpoise among doctors, irrespective of the fact that either they own a newer or an older version.

The results and statistics predicted by Doximity hightlighted the increased popularity of iPhone 5 among doctors. Within 6 weeks of release of the iPhone 5, it was projected that approximately 25% of iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4 and 34% of iPhone 4S users will most definitely shift to iPhone 5.

The Doximity projection reports have gone all out to predict the same drastic change after the release of the latest iPhone 6 – which has fitness features that the doctors find extremely attractive. They are predicting that the same high will be generated amongst doctors for the attainment of iPhone 6. It has been predicted that almost 35% of physicians and doctors will shift to the brand new iPhone 6, within the first six weeks of its inauguration.

Despite this, there is still a variation in the model of iPhone the doctors are using. About 2/3 of the doctors are iPhone 5 or 5C users; whereas the rest of 20% is still happy and satisfied with the older iPhone 4S.

There are two main reasons that are being attached to this phenomenon: the first and foremost is the high income of doctors, which makes it easy for them to purchase Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) power tools. Secondly, the availability of internet on-the-go is what every practicing physician prefers. Apple, (NASDAQ:AAPL) like for common people has become a symbol of status and professionalism for doctors in the U.S.

The larger screen of the iPhone 6 makes it even more appealing for doctors. It increases the possibility of sharing clinical images and browsing medical journals with greater ease. Usage of the internet to keep themselves updated in the medical world is an activity opted by all doctors in their long 24-hour or 36-hour shifts at the hospital.

The new HealthKit Software opens the door for tremendous new inventive applications which will promote fitness, good health and mental growth. This will also help to strengthen the doctor-patient bond; where the doctor will more easily and readily provide fitness tips to their patients. Being a doctor, staying close to health is very important and iPhone 6 is providing every possible application to make this possible.
