Apple Inc. (NASDQ: AAPL) And Other Tablet Vendors Want To Correct Their Mistakes In 2015.

ABI Research, a market research and advisory firm, recently released a report stating that the growth in tablet sales will resume this year and will continue to spike up for the coming 5 years. The report further stated that by the year 2019, around 290 million tablets would have been shipped all across the globe.

As the New Year is just around the corner, many of the biggest vendors of tablet gadgets are looking forward to having some opportunities in the year 2015. Not only do they want opportunities, but they also hope to avoid the mistakes that they did in 2014 in order to make the new year  a good one.  According to the estimates, Apple Inc. (NASDQ: AAPL), Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN), Google (NASDAQ:GOOG), and Barnes & Noble would be seeing an year over year decline in the sales figures of their tablet segments. On the other hand, some companies will be reporting good figures from these segments. These companies include, Lenovo, Acer, LG ASUS, HP, Dell, Samsung, and Microsoft Corp.

According to the senior Director at ABI Research, Jeff Orr, historically, the sales of Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:APPL) iPads have remained above 35 percent in the last quarter of each year. This year, however, the company will be reporting a decline in the sales of its iPads for the very first time since its iPads were released in the market. The company can report healthy sales figures if its iPad units cross 32 million for the last quarter of 2014; however, most of the market analyst companies are of the view that this will not be possible in the calendar year 2014. According to the research of ABI Research, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has sold around 68 million iPads during the year 2014. These figures are quite bad when compared with the figures of 2013; in 2013, the company shipped more than 74 million gadgets.

Coming to Samsung, the second largest vendor company when it comes to tablets, estimates have it that the total shipments of company’s tablets will come to a total of 43 million, which is neither good nor bad. The figures stood at 38 million during the year 2013.

Let’s now come to the operating systems of iPads. The largest share was seized by Android: the system had 54 percent rate when it came to branded tablets, including the ones that had Google OS. The second place was secured by iOS with 41 percent share whereas Windows 8 managed to grab 5 percent of the total market share. The outlook for tablets, for the year 2015, does not look so bad, especially for OEMs. According to the estimates, the total shipments for branded tablets will reach over 194 million for the year 2015.

The tablet market will see a rise in the year 2015, for chances are that many companies will order these gadgets for clipboard workforce. All the major vendors of tablet industry are looking forward to correct their mistakes and improve their market strategies in the year 2016.
