Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) outperforms with the new iPhone 6

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) has always been able to excite its consumers with its devices and technologies. Consumers wait for the new models and start pre-ordering as soon as they can. The new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus are no exception to this trend. The new iPhone models are a huge hit amongst consumers even without the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) watch. The release date of the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) watch is not confirmed yet; however it is assumed that it will not be released any time this year. The delay in the launch of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) watch however did not stop the people from pre-ordering the new phones. People all over the world have been anxiously waiting for the new devices and placed their orders as early as they could.

On Monday Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) declared a record breaking number of pre-orders for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus.  Over 4 million phones were sold within 24 hours which is twice the number of orders that were placed 2 years ago when the iPhone 5 came out.

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) this time has adopted the larger screens; iPhone 6 has 4.7 inches screen and iPhone 6 plus has 5.5 inches screen. The new phones have the A8 chip which allows a faster performance and makes the phone more energy efficient; it also improves the phone’s battery life and makes it last longer than before. The A8 chip technology can be taken up further to bring 3D games to the phone – the chip also enables advanced camera and video features.  Both models carry the M8 motion co-processor as well as have the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) pay technology; the latter enables the customer to pay without swiping a credit card hence reducing the risk factor. Another advantage of it is that it allows the customer to shop online without having to enter the credit card number. It makes online shopping easier and more convenient.

The new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus will be available in stores starting the 19th of September and by looking at the interest of the people, analysts assume that they will be Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) best selling phones till date.

Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) CEO Tim Cook praised the phone by saying that iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus are better in every way and shared his excitement over the admiration for the phones by the customers. He went on to say that the pre-orders for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus have set a new record and they are just anxiously waiting to handover the phones to the customers this Friday.

According to the reports pre-ordering of iPhone 6 plus was more difficult as compared to iPhone 6. The reason to this however, is not clear – whether it is due to the consumer demand or the company just launched limited quantities. Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) has had a history of producing limited quantities in the past as well so that could easily be the reason. Never the less it is clear that people are willing to wait and even the delay will not stop them from buying the product.

According to the news, in morning trading, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) reached a staggering 0.35%.
