Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL)’s New Model of Pro-Tablet Releases Soon

Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL) will soon launch its new Venue 11 Pro-Tablet. With a screen width of 10.8 inches, this new tablet looks just like Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s slate, only thinner! The older version of Venue 11 Pro incorporated the Intel Corp. (NASDAQ:INTC)’s Core i5 processor (laptop-grade). The new Venue 11 Pro-tablet uses the new Core M chip by Intel Corp. (NASDAQ:INTC). The core allows the Venue 11 Pro to be lighter in weight and thinner in size. The pro-tablet does not have an integrated fan, which also accounts for its light weight.

To be specific, Venue 11 Pro-tablet is 0.42 inches thick and weighs only 1.62 pounds. This is not bad for a laptop replacement. Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s Surface Pro 3, though looks just like Venue 11 Pro, has a display of 11 inches and also weighs slightly more.

Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL)’s Venue 11 Pro-Tablet is available with Core i3 series as well as Core i5 series. It has a 1080p IPS screen. It also incorporates an optional digitizer for input from pen. The digitizer is made by Synaptics and is pressure-sensitive.

The battery life of the new Venue 11 Pro-Tablet model is supposed to be better than that of the older model. The battery can last up to 10 hours, plus another ten hours if you attach it to the optional mobile keyboard. The mobile keyboard has a built-in battery which lasts for ten hours as well.

The last year’s models of the mobile keyboards can be used with the new Venue 11 Pro-Tablet. The popular Slim folio can be used with it too. This is good news for those who are looking to upgrade a tablet only, not to buying more accessories. The Core M processor integrated into the Pro-Tablet is low-power, which inherently means that the performance of this model will be below that of the previous model’s by a small margin.

The starting price of Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL)’s Venue 11 Pro-Tablet is $699 with the Slim keyboard. The storage capacity, or the hard drive of the tablet starts from 64GB onwards. Other available models are 128GB and 256GB. The Venue 11 Pro-Tablet will be launched later in this month officially.
