Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has launched three latest Nexus gadgets, which were put up on display on Wednesday in New York City during a press conference. At the start of October, Google had made an announcement that they would be launching new additions in its product line but the actual unveiling was done just now. The first product is the Nexus 6 smartphone, the second one is the Nexus 9 tablet and the third one is the Nexus Player which is a media streaming device for Andriod Television. Google has also announced its latest version of mobile operating system named Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Motorola (NYSE:MSI) is the manufacturer of Nexus 6 smartphone, which has a contoured aluminum frame design with an elegant looking Quad High Definition display screen measuring 6-inch. Nexus 6 display screen is larger than its competitors Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 6 Plus and Samsung’s (SSNLF) Galaxy Note 4 smartphones.  Other salient features of Nexus 6 presented during the launch are its 13 megapixel camera, dual front side stereo speakers and a special turbo charger which in 15 minutes of charge will provide a reasonable battery time of six hours.

The unlocked version of Nexus 6 smartphones is available for preorder through the Google Play store. Nexus 6 will cost $649 for 32 GB memory model and $699 for the models having 64 MB memory.  Nexus 6 will also be available in stores in November through mobile carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint and US Cellular.

The Nexus 9 tablet has been manufactured by Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) in partnership with HTC. The tablet has an 8.9-inch large screen and has a display resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels.  Google claims that on one hand Nexus 9 is small enough to be carried around with ease and yet on the other hand is big enough to work on.  The tablet is available in three versions and priced according to their features. Nexus 9 with 16 GB storage is available for $399 and with 32 GB storage for $479. In addition, the 32 GB tablet also has a special model with built-in LTE data connection for high speed heavy data users and costs $599.

The Nexus Player by Asus is a cylindrical shaped set-top box and is a latest media streaming system to operate Android Television. Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) claims that it is a first of its kind gaming device for Android TV. You can play Android Games on HDTV using gamepad and then keep on playing it on smartphone while on the move. It can be connected to any television and is capable of streaming movies along with television channels from any available source like Netflix, Hulu Plus and Google Play store. Nexus Player comes with a special remote to control it with voice search feature. Besides this a separately sold gaming controller is also available for game lovers. Preorders for the Nexus Player can be made at Google Play store for $99 per unit. It will also be available in stores on Nov 3rd.
