Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) is in news due to its Android project. But then again, Android and Intel come as no surprise. According to the market news, the former had been polishing up its windows alternative for quite some time now. Although it is true that Microsoft Surface has made quite an impression on the market, the sales of windows tablets remained extremely low in the market. Perhaps, it was the right time for Intel to come forward with its Android system based X 86 performance and development.

Android based X86 processor of Intel is being used frequently in Acer and Dell tablets. Acer Tab 8 and Dell Venue 8 are just two of the most recent examples of low budget android tablets; these tablets are powered by Merrifield Atom and Bay Trail Atom of Intel. It is important to note here that both of the above-mentioned tablets have Kit Kat 4.4 Android installed in them and these devices also have the privilege of having a Google Play store app.  The resolution of both these tablets powered by Intel’s chips is very impressive; they have 1920 to 1200 display, which makes these tablets even more remarkable. What is exciting about these tablets is that both of them can be bought at fewer than 200 U.S. Dollars.

Not only this, but Intel is also powering a number of other tabs as well. Iconia Tab of Acer is just another example; it is powered by Atom Z3735 processor, which is a quad core. Iconia also has integrated HD graphics. Venue 8 manufactured by Dell has Atom Z3480 processor, which is a dual core.  Both these tablets, despite having quad core and dual core processors respectively, have gained much reputation in the market. Iconia and Venue can be used for not only the general computer tasks but the physical calculations as well. However, if someone wants to enjoy high quality gaming on the tablet, then it is suggested that they should go for Merrifield Dell tablet (dual core).

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) has gotten graphics rights from Imagination Technologies in order to make Merrifield more suitable for gaming purposes. However, it does not in any way undermine the multitasking capabilities of Acer’s Bay trail tablets; in case you are interested in multitasking on your tablet, this is the best deal that you can get in the market.

What is important to note here is that Android Kit Kat that is powered by Intel Atom is quite cost effective when compared with other tabs in the market. The question, that many market analysts are trying to answer, is as to whether Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) has a chance in the tablet and specifically the android market.

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC), on the last trading day, October 30, 2014, started its stocks at a price of $33.58 and closed at a price of $32.58, after hitting the highest figures of $33.61. The company has a market capitalization of $167.84 billion and a price to earnings ratio of 15.65.
