Is the Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) iPhone 6 Buzz Over?

496

Could it be possible that the company that wrapped up the year with impressive figures in terms of revenues as well as in terms of units sold is already yesterday’s news? With customers still lining up outside the Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) stores and the wait for sets to reach users still continues then how could Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) possibly be signed off as old news. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you should wait for 10 months before buying your new iPhone. With iPhone sales being as high as 175 million a year, Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) has to put a thought into what next to do to create an even larger demand.

According to John Gruber, the Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) commentator, after iPhone, next big thing is likely to be its camera. Gruber recently dropped a hint that according to rumors it will have a new two lens system for the back camera which will make the picture quality equivalent to DSLR.

Analyzing this statement closely, one can see that the data gathered from social network sites reveal that most pictures are taken from the iPhone. Noticing this trend, Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) started taking its camera seriously, bringing in improvement with each passing generation. These changes even though have been slow but continue, as they go along. The changes in the phone that iPhone is focusing on is improving low-light performance and flash for the upcoming versions. Another additional feature is the focus pixel which helps improve focus and stabilize optical image, whereas in terms of design change, not much can be expected as in the past we have seen that after the release of 4, 4s was introduced that looked somewhat identical and then 5s after 5. In the same manner, speculators expect a 6s which is very close to the iPhone 6.

Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) plans to transform the camera, is pretty limited as the iPhone doesn’t have enough space to cater to such luxury. Hence two separate lenses will be fitted. This is also only possible by placing the two lenses into a single unit module. These lenses improve the zoom version of the smartphones and also helps create a clearer image. Such lenses are only made possible by the help of Corephotonics, but the question that crosses the mind is that is Corephotonics up to the mark to deliver such technology. Is it wise to depend on Corephotonics for this when Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) knows its iPhone has a reputation to maintain. There’s also a possibility that Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) might turn to Sony for its collaboration in this venture. But even if Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) does manage to produce the two lenses product, will it fit into the iPhone nicely, without disturbing its slim and sleek look. Or will it give it a protruding look.

There is also a chance that such wonders will surface not in the 2015 version but in the 2016 model as that will have a completely new format. Only time will reveal what plans Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) has up its sleeves.
