Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) is fast becoming a trend setter, when it comes to superior online videos. The company might find it a challenge to set the niche in the ever growing video upload and streaming market, and fears that its latest venture might be not as well advertised, as it may wish. According to the latest news, Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) will feature on the Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

The Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) management has released a statement that expresses their delight on landing this recent deal. According to the details, the Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) videos and movies will feature on both the smartphone versions, in a 1080 viewing resolution. These videos will include the Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) originals, such as, ‘Orange is the new Black’ and ‘House of Cards’. However, for a good video streaming quality, users will need to acquire a good Wi-Fi connection.

Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) statement further revealed that the company had been working on making sure that their features could be viewed effectively on various screen resolutions, since Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) had announced the launch of its latest smartphones. This developmental phase has now resulted in Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) videos’ ability to be viewed on better imagery and performance.

This service will be offered by major production companies, the likes of CBS Corp. (NYSE:CBS) and Time Warner Inc. (NYSE:TWX)’s HBO. Among the companies that deliver this service, most prominent are Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) and Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN).

Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) defines its Prime Video feature as a service that is compatible with several platforms. The e-commerce business will be making a huge mistake, if it decides not to target Apple (NASDAQ:APPL)’s iPhones, as currently these smartphones are the most extensively used device in the market; with the consumer population spread worldwide. Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN)’s Prime hosts a total of 15,517 movies and 2,321 TV shows, that can only be accessed by members.

The biggest challenge that the video hosting companies and services are facing at the moment is the inability of smartphones screen to show whether a video is a good quality HD or not. A smartphone evidently hasn’t the best viewing screen resolution, and leaves a lot to desire. It will be a big task for Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) to release its service on the two Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) iPhones that will not go unnoticed and will draw huge volumes of consumers to adopt the service.

Besides that, Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) needs to do something different. There are several brands in the market that boast good online video service. Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) may consider themselves lucky to feature on the Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) devices, but if they perform poorly and fail to attract the kind of limelight, Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) is used to; they might find themselves drawn out of the deal. Being a fairly new entrant into the market, Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) will find itself in turbulent waters, if they undergo such a negative development.

Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) will need to put extra work in to ascertain that their feature is top of the line and at par with the bigger brands, such as Apple (NASDAQ:APPL).
