On Thursday, an invitation letter is made public which showed that Elon Musk, Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA)’s CEO, has been invited to visit Arizona so that Tesla can examine actual exceptional business atmosphere of Arizona by mayors of Avondale and Mesa. The mayor of Avondale, Marie Lopez-Rogers and who is running for governor named Mesa Mayor Scott Smith have signed the one-page letter.

Smith knows all negotiations happening between the company and other officials in Arizona and but did not provide information regarding timeframe for a final verdict. According to Smith, more substantive particulars are polished by officials like the Arizona Commerce Authority. In private discussions, those would contain incentives, possible locations and taxes as well. However, Arizona officials did not reveal any information about the deal but public comments from their opposite members in Texas, Nevada and New Mexico all of whom are under the list of finalists by Tesla are circulating all around.

Though, the news about the deal is circulating among Arizona officials and they are saying little bit about it but Tesla hasn’t announced their finalists yet. The California-based company did not comment on this matter as well. The electric car maker is eyeing on Arizona for planned $5 billion ‘Gigafactory’, and factory will bring about 6,500 posts. Any information regarding facility is not revealed by the electric car maker but it is speculated that it will approximately match the size of 100 Walmart stores as the facility would require about 1,000 acres of land and would cover 10-milion-square-feet.

Tesla’s Model S was named Motor Trend magazine’s car of the year for 2013 which has a base price aof approximately $60,000 before a $7,500 federal tax credit. The higher-end models come with price tag of $100,000.
