What Propels the Sales Of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 6?

Investment community is well acquainted with this fact that Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 6 and 6 plus have proven to be extremely beneficial for the company and have enabled it to come up with astounding results. However, the interesting factor is that Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) technical specifications have had no role to play in this.

iPhone 6 tech-specs: Are they impressive in reality?

Interestingly, the hardware of Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9 far exceeded that of iPhone 6, as far as its quality and specifications are concerned. This assertion might be questioned by many, who would probably say that this comparison isn’t on fair grounds. A valid argument in the support of this point can be that iPhone 6 made its way into public in September 2014, while both Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9 would  be launched in 2015; the former one in April of this year, while the latter by the end of March. However, the fact of the matter is that even Galaxy S5 and HTC M8 were superior in their technical specifications to iPhone 6.

iPhone 6 comprises of the Apple A8 Chip and one might claim that it surpasses Snapdragon 801 which is present in both S5 and M8, in its technical superiority. However, despite this assertion, this fact cannot be belittled that iPhone’s raw hardware specifications lag behind those of the other two smartphones. Ironically, even though this technical superiority has been established on sound basis, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) was still able to sell its iPhone 6 at premium prices; and eventually ended up with more gross revenue that either Samsung or HTC.

The Untold story

The fact of the matter is that in this world of tech-specs, only those vendors have a chance to survive, which are ardently competent. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) could come up with many innovative features in its phones, such as the increase in the phone memory, latest chips, enhanced pixel density displays etc.  However, doing so would also escalate the price of the phone in proportion; and thus as a consequence, the company’s margins would be reduced.

This doesn’t imply that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) compromises on best where best is required. A very potent example to illustrate this point are Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) application processors. However, in places, where the latest and consequently expensive features aren’t required, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) would make it up with other reasonable solutions.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL ) has carved out a distinguished place for itself in terms of its brand name, its quality and its software; therefore it can take advantage of this repute to build devices that are cheaper and then sell them at premium prices, in order to  generate a premium revenue in turn.

Even though top-notch and latest specifications do sound very attractive but results prove this point that Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) user-friendly software and quality surpasses all of this. If the company continues its trend and strives to make each new model of iPhone better and more useful than the previous one; then apparently nothing can hinder its venture of success.
