Hyundai (KRX:005380)’s Santa Fe 2014 model has made its way into the market and has already created a huge buzz because of its comfort, style, pricing and warranty. This brand new model has increased Hyundai (KRX:005380)’s sale by 26.4 percent more than previous year; over 60,000 vehicles have been sold so far. One of the major factors for this successful run by the vehicle could be Consumer Reports Magazine which is repeatedly recommending Santa Fe to its readers; however the magazine ranked it as an average vehicle. The other factor is considered to be Hyundai (KRX:005380)’s customer friendly warranty deals which give great confidence to the customer. Hyundai (KRX:005380) gives 10-year warranty/100,000-mile and a five-year warranty/60,000-mile for new vehicles; the warranty is transferable as well.

Santa Fe manufacturers knew the vehicle’s audience thus provided the valued buyers with a whole package. As compared to Toyota (NYSE:TM) Highlander, Santa Fe offers 20% more horsepower, 290 horsepower from its V-6. Moreover, even the base Santa Fe has most up-to-date qualities than Highlander and Pilot; it has headlights, emitting diode accent lights. Santa Fe also stands out by offering chrome-color for its door handles and grille, whereas all Highlanders have same color throughout except the grille which is painted black. The steering wheel covered by leather can only be enjoyed in Honda (NYSE:HMC)  Pilot’s Ex-L model but Santa Fe, on the other hand, provides leather-wrapped steering wheels even in its base vehicle.

Powered by 3.3 liter and possessing double overhead cam, Santa Fe has reasonable and best prices to offer; $30,775 for a Fe GLS base front-wheel drive and $32,525 for an all wheel drive.

The base Santa Fe gives the facility of heated front seats, automatic door locks, rear and front air-conditioning and heat controls. Moreover, its driver seat is power-adjustable; steering wheel is telescopic and can be tilted. It also has automatic headlights and the facility of keyless entry. The passenger capacity is amazingly seven in base, 2014 Santa Fe GLS whereas upgraded Limited model of Santa Fe has the passenger capacity of six people.

Furthermore, Hyundai (KRX:005380) Santa Fe Sport is another SUV with a five passenger capacity and four cylinder engines. Santa Fe is mainly compared to the base 2015 Toyota (NYSE:TM) Highlander LE charging $31,605 with a 3.5-liter V-6. It has a front wheel drive and has the passenger capacity for eight people. The 2014 Honda (NYSE:HMC) Pilot on the other hand price $30,700is and has 3.5-liter V-6 but it is five-speed automatic rather than six-speed. It also accommodates eight passengers.

Santa Fe’s limited edition has a strong engine power and has become a hit. It proved itself to be fuel friendly. A city highway drive tester resulted in consumption of one gallon for 20 miles. This is however below the standard figure of 21 miles per gallon.

Considering its outlook, Santa Fe is 16 foot long and has a more appealing outlook than Pilot and Highlander. The driving experience of Santa Fe is more like a two seater sports car. However, a slight lack of balance in weight was felt during test drive and it also requires more space in parking lots. On the whole, Santa Fe is the best drive to have on highways because of its comfort level.
