Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has revealed its new operating system iOS 8. The company has also decided upon a launch date for its new iPhone 6. Meanwhile, an iWatch is also ready to fly into the market. Now, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has started work on two new models of iPad. The iPads will be launched before Christmas. Some sources reveal that the company is currently going through the process of manufacturing the new iPad. The iPad will probably be the next gen of iPad Air. It will have a 9.7 inch screen. The new iPad will be revealed either at the end of the current quarter or in the beginning of the next one. The new iPad will have an anti-reflection coating that allows greater readability in daylight. The number of the new models produced will be affected by complications of using the touch screen with this new coating.

A new mini iPad will be launched soon by the end of this year. It will be 7.9 inches in size. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) moved its fourth gen iPad launch in 2012 and the launch of its first mini iPad to November timeframe. This year, the release dates fall into the same time frame. The company has faced consecutive decline in quarters. So this year, the iPads will be launched in a new environment as compared to the previous year. This year in the third quarter, the iPad sales totaled 13.3 million. This was nine percent lower than the sales in the third quarter previous year which amounted to 14.6 million. The sales in the second quarter of this year fell by 16 percent to 16.35 million.

The decline in the iPad sales has surprised the analysts at the Wall Street who did not expect such low numbers from the company. Technology analysts believe that the Android based phablets are to blame for the reduction in tablet sales all over the market. CEO of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Tim Cook, says that the decline in iPad sales does not bother the company much. Their focus is on China and the enterprise. The tablet penetration is low in enterprise anyway.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) recently tied up with IBM (NASDAQ:IBM) so as to increase penetration of iPhones and iPad in the enterprise. This deal may be a reason for the decline in iPad sales. If the tech analysts are correct and the increasing phablet sales are indeed the reason behind the declining tablet sales, then the new iPhone will be able to help Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) recover in the market; the iPhone 6 has a display of 5.5 inches in size. iPhone 6 will be launched into the market on the 9th of September.

Apart from the hardware sales of the company, iOS 8 will also be welcomed with open arms. iOS 8 is expected to be a grand update to the company’s OS in the recent years. It addresses many gaps that came between Android and iOS, which include widgets and sharing data between applications.
