Samsung Electronics’ (KRX:005930) Galaxy Note 4 will hit the market on October 14th; the company has started to take pre-orders for the giant ‘phablet’, which is aiming to sweep the success of Apple’s iPhone 6. Major US network carriers such as Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:VZ), AT&T INC (NYSE:T) and Sprint Communcations Inc., are all gearing for another phablet after settling their work with iPhone 6’s preorders.

Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:VZ) is already taking pre-orders with a 2 year contract for the 32 GB Note 4 device for $299. For an additional $49, the customer will get the Samsung Electronics Ltd (KRX:005930) S-View flip cover through which they will be able to see their battery life, check texts and accept calls without even opening the case. Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:VZ) will start delivering by the 17th of October.

T-Mobile started a bit earlier and will sell the device without a contract for $749; whereas with a contract, it will be sold for a monthly installment of $31.24 for two years.

The price Sprint Communications Inc. is offering it at $350, with a two year contract. They have been taking pre-orders since the 26th of this month.

Note 4 is supposed to be Samsung’s (KRX:005930) reply to iPhone 6. Samsung Electronics Ltd (KRX:005930) manufacturers claim that this phablet will be a device that will not only put Samsung Electronics Ltd (KRX:005930) on top of the tech chain but will also make all the rivals humble.

Note 4 will come with a whopping 16MP camera, a 3.7 front camera, 3GB ram, 32 GB internal space that is more than enough for storing data; the processor is a hardcore 2.7 Quad core GHz. It will also feature of the biggest screens in the history of smartphones: 5.7 inches. The phone also comes with a memory slot for external memory cards. Various sensors the phone will feature include Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, gesture, UV, heart rate, SpO2.

Samsung Electronics Ltd (KRX:005930) did not shy away from cashing in on the Apple bending scandal, subtly hinting that iPhone should know its place by now (behind Samsung Electronics Ltd (KRX:005930)). iPhone 6 has had to face one trouble after another, Samsung Electronics Ltd (KRX:005930)’s Note 3, on the other hand, has enjoyed great success in the market without having to deal with almost no significant negative criticism.

It is to be noted that none of these latest iPhones have specs that can match the Note 3 and Note 4. They might beat Note 3 in some aspects such as display screens, Samsung Electronics Ltd (KRX:005930) otherwise leads in specifications. It depends on the preorders sales to give us a precursor as to where things will be headed with this phone.

On paper, Note 4 is almost unbeatable. What it doesn’t want right now is any negative media attention or technical hiccups. Samsung Electronics Ltd (KRX:005930) is usually known for playing it safe and focusing on the phone rather than the extravagant marketing and celebrity star power.
