Nexus 6 may be the next big thing in future mobile market

Let’s review the Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG)’s new model of Nexus, manufactured by Motorola. First off, the most obvious feature of the phone, Nexus 6 is very big. In fact, it is too large for most of us. When the Nexus 6 was just a whim, when rumors were common that Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has chosen Motorola to manufacture the new Nexus model, and when stories roamed the Internet about the new Nexus having a 6-inch display, skeptics had pointed out that Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) is probably making a phablet, not a phone. However, things have changed now that Nexus 6 is a real thing.

Even though some skeptics might feel the same, others can see that Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has taken the right steps to in making a large phone. In today’s generation of technology, the company has chosen the correct strategy of selecting big hardware.

Almost all Nexus 6 users will say that the Nexus 6 is very similar to Nexus 5, though it has a better display, improved specifications, a better camera and better battery life. They would prefer Nexus 6. This simple and unexciting iteration of features and attributes would keep the cost of the new phone low. This means that you have an Android device at the same price as that of other contract-devices.

This is great because the purpose of Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG)’s Nexus program is to produce affordable phones that cater to the needs of a large number of mobile users. Nexus is not intended to be a populist program. Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) undertook this initiative to show the OEMs what the true potential of Android is. Another aim behind the initiative is to allow the developers to build their apps for a set of criteria that would serve them mostly.

Some believe that Nexus 6 was supposed to be a part of the Android Silver Program as well. This would have replaced all Nexus devices with different hardware from a variety of OEMs that contain pure Android with periodic updates. This theory suggests that Nexus 6 is a more broadly-aimed device, among the other devices that resemble Nexus 5 and are a part of the Android Silver Program.

If you skip that theory, Nexus 6 looks like a phone that fits the Nexus mould. Nexus 6 is phone that allows Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) to show off its new Android OS, Lollipop, on a device that exemplifies the best aspects of the software. Nexus 6 anticipates a future in which, instead of users owning tablets and phones, they own a single large device that offers all the features of a phone as well as a tablet.

Some users would initially find it awkward to use Nexus 6, given its size. But soon, they will find themselves carrying it instead of their tablets. Soon, they will get accustomed to using the large phone with two hands easily without considering the inconvenience. This is the device that Android will need for paving a way into the future mobile market.
