The year 2015 has started off quite nicely for Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F). The sales figures for the month of January are skyrocketing. According to a latest report released by the company, the sales in the region of United States went up by 15 percent and reached the figures of 178,351 units for January. It is important to mention here that these figures are way ahead of the estimates of Wall Street, which calculated the figures to fall somewhere, around 12.8 percent.

Moreover, Ford (NYSE:F) saw a growth of 17 percent in the segment of retail car sales. This is the highest growth rate that the company has seen since the last 13 months. Last year, the company spent most of its capital and time for the restructuring of production processes. According to the management of Ford (NYSE:F), the year 2014 was a year of change for the company. The company used most of the resources for its aluminum body F-150 pickup truck.

But this was not it. The company also closed down two of its factories and lowered the targets for profits and sales for third and fourth quarter of the year 2014. Ford (NYSE:F) had to let go of the short term gains in order to achieve long terms benefits. According to the market analyst companies, all the hard work that the company had put in is finally paying off. According to the estimates, if Ford (NYSE:F) successfully maintains its figures for the month of February and March, it can have a record-breaking first quarter. It was not F-150 alone that brought in good numbers for the company; other vehicles that have also affected the company’s earnings over the years include SUVs, Lincolns and Mustangs.
