February 11, 2015 will mark one of the most important days in the history of Tesla Motors (NASDAQ:TSLA). It is the day when the company will post its financial reports for its last quarter of the year 2014. The earnings call of Tesla Motors (NASDAQ:TSLA) usually takes longer than those of other publicly traded corporations. The management of the company publishes a long letter for the investors and shareholders. Moreover, the question and answer session is given more than one hour.

The information dispersed in the earnings call of Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA), no doubt, gives a lot of valuable information to the shareholders and analysts. On February 11, the company will again be revealing a lot of important information, and hence, the investors and researchers should keep an eye out for three main topics. In the most recent quarter, the management of the company announced that Tesla will start making deliveries of Model X somewhere in the third quarter of the year 2015.

It is important to mention here that the shipments were expected to start earlier in 2015. But then again, this is not the first time that Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) has delayed the delivery of its Model X; the company initially planned to launch the car in 2014. Since 2014, the company has delayed the launch several times. According to the management of the company, in its recent research note to the investors, it wants to extend the testing time of Model X so as to deliver the best.

What the investors should look forward to, is the fact that this delayed launch will allow the company to make use of the production ramp. The company has taken blame for being overrated in achieving some of its aims, but at the same time, it has warned the investors that the delays will not stop just here. The Company, during the earnings call for the third fiscal quarter of the year 2014, gave an estimate for the sales figures of its Model S.

However, it has not provided a full year guidance report for the sales of both its Model S and X. The company expects the sales to increase by 50 percent for Model S by the year 2015. The guidance report suggested a sales figure of 33,000 for the recent year, which means that the deliveries have reached 49,500. The gigafactory is one of the most important projects that Tesla has ever undertaken. This $5 billion factory is under construction as of yet.

Once the factory is done, the company will be able to produce around 500,000 batteries per year for its electronic cars. Coming to the current stock prices of Tesla Motors (NASDAQ:TSLA), the company is traded in the range of $216.50 to $223.40. The company has a market cap of $27.25 billion with an EPS (earnings per share) of -1.63. As far as the average trading volume is concerned, the figures are recorded to be around 4.87 million.
