High Demand For Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s IPhone 6 Causes Delay in Shipment by Verizon

453

If you didn’t get the iPhone 6, the latest hand held mobile device from Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ), you can expect to wait several more weeks for the next shipment.

The demand for this phone has definitely outweighed the available supply of the product, even with the pre-order options that were offered by phone network carriers (Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T), and directly from the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) Store.

If a person was under the impression that by pre-ordering the item, that they would be guaranteed this new phone, then there were many disappointed people, that fell victim to this thought process.

Tim Cook, the CEO of Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ), appeared to be genuinely surprised, although very pleased, that sales of the new iPhone 6 reached over 10 million in the first weekend.

Mr. Cooks’ elation was short-lived, as he realized that this high demand of phones must reach the hands of their customers quickly.

This delay in delivery should come as no surprise to some people, and according to the Business Insider, it was expected.  Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has had consistent delays and problems with many of their new launches.  Remember the updates that were rolled out for the iOS devices?  Nothing seems to come easy for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) or more accurately, it is their customers that suffer.  Some of the problems associated with iOS is that syncing was not possible, and connection signals were weak and frequently lost.  The battery issues were bad before the iOS 6.1, and then they became worse!  The most recent update, iOS 8.0.1 doesn’t seem to be any better, because many users are complaining that the phones locking feature is easily accessible.

For those of you that are familiar with Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) products, then Siri needs no explanation, but for the rest of you, Siri is the module within Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) devices that allows the phone to be totally voice activated.  Supposedly, this built in personal assistant can post updates to popular social media sites, find and read text messages, generate phone calls, send e-mails, search the internet and remind you of an upcoming appointment.  This all sounds great, except when Siri refuses to work, especially when you choose to use headphones and a Bluetooth device.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has said that a few bugs and glitches are expected after a new release.  They have said that they are working as quickly as possible, to get these issues resolved.  Perhaps, if they spent more time doing things right the first time, then customers would not have to be aggravated and inconvenienced, by faulty technology.
