AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) – Mobility; changing the way we live

21

The awaited annual Communacopia conference brought about the topic of ‘mobility’. Ralph de la Vega, the Atlanta based AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) executive started his debate, pointing out that mobility has an impact on everything we do. Among other things, he explained how mobility influences our every move – and how we live, work or handle our businesses.

This newly appointed CEO spoke in much detail about mobile business and the opportunities AT&T (NYSE:T) see in them. He especially spoke about the newest “Connected Car”.

The “Connected Car”, he believes is an opportunity that would bring in lots of money, if it is invested into right now. It would hold a great position in the market in the years to come. GM (General Motors) is now introducing 4G LTE connectivity in 33 models this year; this connectivity will be provided by the trusted AT&T (NYSE:T).

He gave an insight on how AT&T (NYSE:T) is working with auto manufacturers. He highlighted how the technology is meant to provide family content features to the car so that drivers have an option to be cut off from the back seats in case of distraction. It puts forth the importance of safety, making it a selling point.

Another window of opportunity has opened up in this scenario – it is that of video; which he explained was also the reason behind their purchase of DirecTV (NASDAQ:DTV). The heavy deal of $48.5 billion was expected to successfully close in the first half of 2015.

AT&T (NYSE:T) is carefully positioned in a way to give its customers a one of a kind, satisfying experience. They would be fully connected to their smart-phone, car, home as well as their business. AT&T (NYSE:T) is very proud of this opportunity because at this stage very few can match their level of providing fast and integrating solutions to businesses.

The company aims at giving their customers the best experience they have ever had. Customers in general, don’t mind what they are using, be it WiFi, marco-cell, small-cell, broadband, VPN, fiber, all they want if a fast, secure and reliable connection. AT&T (NYSE:T) have invested into and upgraded their networks to bring them just that.

The need for mobile services, mobile broadband, mobile devices and application as well as cloud based technologies is what makes up the human interaction. It is changing our outlook to life – the way we work and live has been transformed. AT&T (NYSE:T) has done its homework and has successfully recognized this need and explored this opportunity aggressively to give its customers the ultimate experience of a lifetime.

He also discussed the booming rate at which AT&T were taking orders for Apple’s new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. He joked how it was an out of this world feeling, knowing every morning before you have your cup of coffee, that hundreds and thousands of iPhone orders are placed.
