Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) May Launch Google Fit Health Service

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) is planning to launch a health data service called Google Fit at the Google I/O Conference on June 25, Forbes said in an exclusive report, citing various sources close to the company. 

The new health service will collect and merge data from various fitness trackers and apps, the sources added. Specifically, one source noted that Google Fit will allow fitness trackers to communicate with the search engine’s cloud-based services. 

Google did not comment on the news. 

GOOG shares were down 0.7% to $547.48 in early trading Friday. The stock trades near the midpoint of the 52-week range of $502.80 – $604.83.

RealD (NYSE:RLD) said the box office on RealD-enabled screens was about $330 million ($167 million domestic and $163 million international) in May 2014. 

Between April 1 and May 31, box office was $535 million ($250 million domestic and $285 million international), the maker of 3-D projection gear for cinemas added. 

RLD shares were down 1.3% to $12.26 in early trading Friday, moving within the 52-week range of $6.19 – $15.29.
