Huawei Technologies Confirmed That Its Ascend Mate 2 Will Have the Latest Lollipop 5.0 Android

According to the latest news, Huawei Technology will be releasing the updated version of Android Lollipop software for the Ascend Mate 2. The company has confirmed this news. Ascend Mate 2 was introduced into the market in the beginning of the year 2014 and was later on made available for purchases. The phone was first launched in the Consumer Electronic Show of 2014.

Initially, Ascend Mate 2 was equipped with Android Jellybean, that is, the 4.3 operating system. The phone with jellybean software is still available in the market. The phone has not been updated with the 4.4 KitKat version.

Huawei Mobiles recently announced in its blog that the company plans to jump from Jellybean software to Android Lollipop OS. The news came as a surprise for those who loved Kitkat 4.4 and were anxiously waiting for that update.

The company announced that it takes its customers preferences very seriously, and since the customers wanted Lollipop version, the company will update jellybean to lollipop directly. According to Huawei, it has changed its strategy based on customer reviews and feedback, for the company wants to make sure that its customers have the best possible experience with Ascend Mate 2.

The company further said that Huawei technology is determined to provide the customers with the best featured items at the best prices. Huawei is behind Ascend Mate 2 and it plans to make it a success.

Huawei Technologies’ blog further said that the company plans to equip its Mate 2 with the latest possible software, for the company will be offering this smart phone in the coming months. And since it plans to keep the phone in the market for long, it is better to update it with the latest possible software.

Coming to the features of Ascend Mate 2, the phone is a phablet with a 6.1 inch display. It supports panoramic camera and a marathon battery. Though the company has announced that it will update Mate 2’s software, it still has not said anything about the other series that it has released in the market. Huawei has recently launched its Honor series in the market.

It is important to note here that other leading smartphone makers have also updated their latest models with the 5.0 Lollipop Android.

Motorola has updated its X series with the OTA version. The company plans to update its e and G series with OTA soon. Samsung and LG are also planning on updating their devices’ software. Lenovo, on the other hand, has kept quiet on the matter. As far as Sony is concerned, the company has already announced that all its Z series phones will have Lollipop version Android.

Coming to the stock prices of Huawei Technologies, the company, on the last trading day of November 24, 2014, started its stocks at a price of ¥14.05 and closed at a price of ¥13.90. the company has a total market capitalization of ¥3.91 billion.
