IPhone 6 by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) to offer 128GB

Although, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has not released any official report regarding the specs and features of its soon-to-be-released iPhone 6, several leaks have already stirred up debate about the features of this new smartphone. According to rumors, iPhone 6 will be the best and the most advanced smartphone offered by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) till date.

Apart from offering 128 GB of storage, this new smartphone will offer a number of other features which the previous iPhones lacked. The latest iPhone available in the market is iPhone 5S which is only offering storage capacities of 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. Thus, this jump to 128 GB might be the major reason why this iPhone is awaited so anxiously by regular customers of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL).

Earlier, the smartphones by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) lacked microSD card expansion, however, iPhone 6 with 128 GB will come in a new storage option. This news has been provided by a popular phone repair company GeekBar which claims that they have found out this news through authentic sources. Similar other leaks have reported that Toshiba will be the only supplier of storage components of iPhone 6.

Where on one hand news about the 128 GB storage capacity is gaining popularity, on the other hand no information about the 32 GB handset has yet been found. It is speculated that only 16GB, 64GB and 128GB iPhone 6 handsets would be released for now. However, the 32 GB is the most popular capacity option and it is hoped that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) would be offering that option soon after release.

Other features of the new iPhone 6 include a 4.7-inch brushed metal design with a faster processor and iOS8 operating system. Apart from having a bigger screen size, it is expected that the phone will have a better and slightly innovative design. The frame will be thinner and lighter with little or no bezels.

Moreover, the edges of the phone will be round with a wraparound display. This means that the device would have sidewall displays from where you can have access to slide to unlock function, controls for music player and system controls. The power button would also be relocated to the side of the phone.

As far as the pricing of this new phone by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is concerned, it is expected that the company would adhere to its previous pricing system, making the phone to cost around $500. However, this is just a speculation and hence, an accurate price cannot be determined as of yet.

The expected release date of iPhone 6 is 6^th September 2014. According to several rumors, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will hold an event on this date where the company will officially launch its new smartphone.
