Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has come up with a whole new look for its Outlook for Mac. This news has not only made the traders excited but it has also made them optimistic about the company. The company has also promised a larger and bigger Office for Mac for the upcoming year.

It is true that Mac users are happy with Microsoft’s software, but it will not be wrong to say that the software did need a new and refreshing look, for it has not been updated since 2010 when Mac 2011 was launched in the market. No doubt, the wait has been quite long and the users have greatly welcomed the new look. The new version is free from funky materials and shadow displays and it goes well with the ‘latest’ trend of flat displays. The design is also consisted with the company’s mobiles and PC’s designs. The new look will definitely bring in more customers who like to have a flat display on their computers.

Not all the subscribers can get new Outlook. The first subscribers who will get the fresh version will be the subscribers of Office 365. And that does make sense because the company is providing a validation to those people who chose to buy the software for an annual fee rather than just getting it off the internet.

The intraday range for the company’s stocks was recorded to be around $46.48 to $46.97.

The company has a total market capitalization of $380.4 billion with a P/E (price to earnings) ratio of 18.34. As far as the dividend yield of Microsoft stocks is concerned, the figures are reported to be around 2.65 percent.

The company says that it is not a pre-requisite that the subscribers uninstall the previous version of the office that is, the 2011 Office for Mac: the users can continue to use both the versions. The company makes a few recommendations though in case the users do not want to uninstall the previous version. The company has, as always, moved with the same precautionary measures that it takes before every of its release.
