T- Mobile (NYSE:TMUS) attracts millions of customers in a single month

T- Mobile (NYSE:TMUS) is currently riding the crest of a high wave, they have successfully hit the mark of 2.75 Million customers last August which is a record number of additions in the history of the company. T-Mobile (NYSE:TMUS) announced this on Wednesday with great enthusiasm and welcomed their new customers.

John Legere, the company’s CEO has made this possible with his energy and innovative ideas. The carrier was suffering from subscriber losses over the last couple of years but the CEO’s progressive marketing in the last year has made it possible for T-Mobile US Inc (NYSE:TMUS) to hit these record highs.

T-Mobile US Inc (NYSE:TMUS) is the third largest mobile operator, and has made quite a name for itself in the last few years. With this benchmark achieved in their record books, they’re liable to gain more customer following and credibility.

T-Mobile US Inc (NYSE:TMUS) is offering a new feature in its phones where the customers will be directed to a WI-FI network where T-Mobile US Inc (NYSE:TMUS)’s network isn’t available.  Subscribers will also be given the Wifi-enabled phone when they trade in their old phone. Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) made a similar announcement few days back offering shifts between a WiFi network and the carrier network.

Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:VZ) introduced an option of giving an iPhone 6 in exchange for the customers old iPhone version. Offers like that are cementing Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s dominion over the market and T-Mobile (NYSE:TMUS) should be ready to get a share of the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) pie.

T-Mobile US Inc (NYSE:TMUS) boasted that it can top any deal in the industry, and that it has never backed out of rival competition.  It was a bold statement to make with a market which is dominated by Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:VZ) and Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL). These companies can present better deals in the case of Verizon (NYSE:VZ) and cut out T-mobile (NYSE:TMUS) entirely if they want to go exclusively with AT&T (NYSE:T) in Apples (NASDAQ:AAPL) case. But the fact that they have gained millions of customers in a single month, you never know what T-Mobile (NYSE:TMUS) can be capable of in the future and maybe even surpass pioneers like AT&T (NASDAQ:AAPL).

Being a complicated, with multiple players dealing in different domains presents clearly the challenge T-Mobile (NYSE:TMUS) faces. Being a carrier, it offers locked Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) as well as android phones for specifically T-Mobile (NYSE:TMUS) numbers, however the android market with its huge offer of online applications is also a lucrative business which T-Mobile (NYSE:TMUS) should look into.

T-Mobile US Inc (NYSE:TMUS) is not a new comer, neither is it naïve or oblivious to the trends of the industry. The unfolding of this whole market war will be a joy to see as the customers always benefit whenever there is cutthroat competition in any industry. Does T-Mobile US Inc (NYSE:TMUS) hold the power and deep pockets to shake off the competition if things get to that point? How firm is their footing in absolute terms? Time will surely tell…
